Create article on EaglePress.org, the official website and distribution server of the EaglePress CMS

New page

EaglePress.org is the official website and distribution server of EaglePress, the open-source content management system written in Python 3 and PostgreSQL that was programmed by Stan Switaj. The site publishes the platform's releases, its theme gallery and its plugin directory, and it is itself built and served by EaglePress — the software runs the site that distributes it.

The website carries the release announcements for the platform, the most recent being version 2.18, written under Stan Switaj's byline. Its theme gallery lists the themes available for installation, each with a preview image, a version number, a description, its author and its download size, together with download and live-preview links; the plugin directory presents the available plugins in the same form, with download and source links. Both are served from the marketplace repositories that EaglePress installations query when an administrator browses for themes or plugins from within their own dashboard, so an installation can find and install from EaglePress.org without leaving its own administration panel.

Visitors can create accounts and log in, and the site offers the same thirteen-language switcher that the platform ships with, covering English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, Chinese, German, French, Hindi, Italian, Arabic, Hebrew and Polish, along with the light and dark reading modes built into EaglePress themes. The site is rendered by EaglePressTheme, the showcase theme written for it, in a navy and gold colour scheme.

EaglePress.org states that the platform, its themes and its plugins are released as open source under the Apache 2.0 License, and that all of them are free to use, modify and distribute.
